Information MISE collects

MISE collects information needed to provide meal planning and account features, including:

• Account details such as email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and account settings.
• Nutrition and planning information you provide, including body measurements, activity level, goals, macro targets, food exclusions, meal history, pantry items, grocery state, recipe ratings, and household membership.
• Recipes, recipe photos, collections, imported source links, and other content you choose to create or upload.
• Purchase and entitlement records associated with your MISE account.
• Technical diagnostics such as app version, route, error message, device platform, and crash context when an error occurs.

Apple Health

Apple Health integration is optional. With your permission, MISE may read activity energy, basal energy, steps, sleep, workouts, body weight, and nutrition information to personalize the app. MISE may also write nutrition information for meals you mark eaten. Health data is accessed on your device through HealthKit and is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers. Turning the integration off stops future HealthKit access by MISE; permissions can also be changed in Apple Health or iOS Settings.

Recipe imports and AI assistance

When you ask MISE to import a recipe, the recipe page text, public source URL, or selected image may be processed by MISE servers and OpenAI to extract and verify recipe information. MISE requests that OpenAI not retain API content for model training and sends the minimum source material needed for the import. Import event records may retain the account identifier, source type, success state, and error category, but not the full recipe image or page contents. Always review an imported recipe before saving.

How information is used

• Provide authentication, recipe storage, meal planning, macro tracking, households, grocery lists, pantry tools, imports, account export, and deletion.
• Calculate targets and portions, personalize recipe recommendations, and synchronize household plans.
• Process subscriptions, restore purchases, award entitlements, prevent fraud, and provide support.
• Diagnose failures, protect the service, enforce usage limits, and improve reliability.

Service providers

MISE uses service providers only as needed to operate the app:

• Supabase for authentication, database, file storage, and server functions.
• Apple for App Store distribution, purchases, notifications, and optional HealthKit access.
• RevenueCat for subscription and entitlement management.
• OpenAI for optional AI-assisted recipe extraction and verification.
• Expo for app build, update, and delivery infrastructure.

MISE does not sell personal information or use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

Storage, security, and retention

Account data is stored using Supabase infrastructure and protected through authentication and row-level access policies. Recipe photos are stored at public asset URLs so they can be displayed in the app; do not upload sensitive images. Data is retained while your account is active and as reasonably necessary for security, billing, legal obligations, dispute resolution, and backups.

Your choices and rights

You can edit most profile and recipe information inside MISE. The Account Data screen lets you export a portable copy of your data or permanently delete your account. Deletion removes your authentication account, personal planning data, private recipes, and recipe photos, subject to limited records that must be retained for legal, security, or transaction purposes. You may also contact the email above to request access, correction, deletion, or information about applicable privacy rights.

Children

MISE is not directed to children under 13, and the operator does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

International use and changes

Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where service providers operate. This policy may be updated as MISE changes. Material updates will be reflected by a new effective date and, when appropriate, an in-app notice.
